The Tron Theatre is piloting a new model of Making Space:

Every two weeks, the Tron Creative team will update this page with any rehearsal space we have available over the upcoming two-week period. These last-minute ad-hoc bookings are available to creatives for a reduced fee of £25 for the day.

To book a space:

1. Email your requested date to creative@tron.co.uk, using the subject line Making Space Request. In the email, include

• your name
• a list of cast/ crew attending
• a one-liner on what you are using the space for

If your requested date is still available, we will let you know and send you an invoice.

2. Pay the invoice to secure your booking. Confirmation of your booking will be sent to you, at which point your booking is confirmed.

Please note:

• Your booking is not confirmed until you have received email confirmation of your successful payment.
• These ad-hoc bookings will be made on a first-come first-serve basis.
• Bookings will be processed by a Tron member of staff, so please have patience while your booking is received and processed.
• There may be limited or no space available during busy periods at the Tron.
• By booking Making Space, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions (see below).

We are piloting this set-up, which we hope will be a straightforward way for artists to get the most out of our available spaces here at the Tron. We welcome any feedback on how this new system could be improved – please email us with any thoughts on creative@tron.co.uk.

About the spaces:

The Changing House is our black box studio room upstairs at the Tron Theatre. This space is accessible by lift. For ad-hoc bookings you will not be able to use the technical facilities (light and overhead sound) and there will be no technical support available. The seating bank will be retracted.

The Vic is our rehearsal space on the ground floor, with step free access. There are no technical facilities or technical support available when using this space.

In both spaces you will have access to Wi-Fi, chairs, tables and a portable speaker.

Tron Café Bar
While using our rehearsal spaces, why not also make use of the Tron Café/Bar? We are open to customers Tuesday – Sunday, 11am-4pm or 11am-11pm on show days. We sell a range of refreshments, teas, coffees, cake, and sandwiches. We have Wi-Fi, plugs, and are laptop friendly, so it is the perfect place to hold meetings or get some work done. 

When eating or drinking with us in the Tron Café-Bar, you’re also supporting our arts programme. All the income goes back into running the venue, allowing us to offer quality cultural experiences, entertainment, and activities for our community
