Administrative Assistant – Paid Work Placement (PWP)
The position of Administrative Assistant supports the Executive Director in their day-to-day operational management of the organisation. Our key aim is to be at the forefront of creating and presenting quality, ambitious and successful Scottish theatre, nurturing, producing, and programming work that represents and reflects the diversity of the world around us, locally and globally.
We encourage everyone who works for us to work collaboratively as a team, developing a shared sense of belonging within the organisation, being curious and responding creatively to our artistic and operational ambitions, actively contributing ideas and learning with us how best to deliver our Business Plan.

Number of Hours Per Week: 25 hours per week for 26 weeks
Working pattern: 9am – 5pm (flexible)
The Paid Work Placements programme is delivered on behalf of Glasgow City Council, in partnership with Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS). Glasgow Chamber of Commerce will be supporting participants through the process of securing placements. Other partners include Enable Scotland, CEMVO Scotland, and Move On.
The programme is open to Glasgow City residents aged 16 to pensionable age who are not currently working but are eligible to work in the UK. Participants must be ready for work but have barriers to employment that make it difficult for them to secure a job independently. There is no definitive list of what constitutes a barrier, but this could include the following:
- Having a disability.
- Being in a racialised group.
- Being a care leaver.
- Having a criminal conviction.
- Being a lone parent or being homeless.

Technical Manager
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £28k-£32k dependant on experience
We are currently seeking a full time Technical Manager to join our production team.
The Key Objectives of the role are:
• To participate in the efficient and effective running of the production department, providing technical and stage facilitation for a range of Tron Theatre productions, visiting productions, events and activities.
• To manage the technical team to facilitate all events and to provide a safe, tidy and welcoming working environment within the building for all in-house and visiting company staff.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in professional theatre, ideally in a building-based environment. Demonstrable experience of all technical aspects including sound, lighting and stage will be essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and team working skills and a flexible and hands on approach. Experience in stage work, flying, rigging, set fit-ups and knowledge of stage management would also be beneficial.
