Pay It Forward
Applications for Pay it Forward tickets for The Snaw Queen are open now. Applications can be submitted HERE.
Launched in 2016, Pay It Forward is the Tron’s fundraising initiative enabling local community groups working with children, families and adults experiencing disadvantage to attend a performance of Christmas panto and Tron Theatre Company productions throughout the year, for free.
When at the Tron for the Christmas pantomime experience, beneficiaries receive an ice cream, and we also offer groups an option of a pre-panto visit and/or workshop in their own venue to meet the team in advance of the theatre trip.
For productions throughout the year, we link in with our Tronversations project, offering light touch conversation starters and activities exploring the main themes and ideas of each show.
Since we launched the Pay it Forward scheme, we have raised over £144,000 and gifted free tickets to over 4790 people.
We have worked with a diverse range of local charities and community groups to involve their service users. Pay it Forward 2025/26 groups included Audio Description Association (Scotland), Creative Change Collective, DRC Generations, Fuse Youth Café Glasgow, Give a Dog a Bone, Glasgow Women’s Aid, Glasgow Women’s Library, Glasgow North East Carers Centre, Glasgow Zine Library, Golden Club Calton, Govanhill Roma Youth Project, Hwupenyu Health and Wellbeing, In Cahootz, James McLean Project, Kinning Park Complex, Living Rent, Lodging House Mission, New Young Peer Scotland/Host Family Supported Carer Service, Quarriers Youth Housing Support, Refuweegee, Royston Youth Action, Simon Community, St Roch’s Secondary School Deaf Unit, Tollcross YMCA, Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre & Young Company and The Whiteinch Centre.
We raise the vast majority of funds through public bucket collections, online donations at point of sale for tickets, and trusts & foundations across the year, along with cash or in-kind contributions from local businesses, including G.H. Digital Print, The Social Hub and GAP Group who we thank for their continued support.
Thanks to our very generous audiences that support Pay It Forward we can continue to ensure our audience represents the rich and diverse social and economic landscape of Glasgow.
We also receive support, either cash or in-kind donations from local businesses. If you are a local business interested in supporting Pay if Forward contact development@tron.co.uk
