Puppetry Skills For Contemporary Theatre
This performance has taken place in the past
with Gavin Glover
Led by experienced theatre practitioner Gavin Glover, this hands-on workshop will introduce some very useful puppetry techniques that can be adopted by performers for use in mainstream theatre. By channelling our own sense of play we will learn how to manipulate a variety of puppets by encouraging them to walk, run and jump without falling over and discover how puppets can apparently have feelings, reactions and even a sense of humour!
At the end of the session the participants will be able to see the potential for enriching their own creative practice by incorporating puppetry into their work and should feel more confident to audition for performance roles that require puppetry skills.
No puppet experience necessary. Suitable for any performer, director or designer.
Offered in partnership with Spotlight.
