Outside Eyes is the Tron’s scratch-night, presenting a selection of brand new ideas from theatre-makers and live artists to an audience keen to see the boldest new performance Glasgow has to offer.

Our 4 lead artists presenting work for our Spring edition of Outside Eyes are: Craig Manson, Peter McCormick, Hannah Low and Andrea Cabrera Luna.

Bunny! by Craig Manson
Meet Bunny, an aspiring theatre starlet waiting for her big break. She’s also a serial killer, streamlining the talent pool in Scotland through cold-blooded murder to increase her chances of landing a role. But after getting rid of the country’s actors, emerging theatre companies, and even some big hitters, she’s still no closer to achieving her dreams. Maybe it’s just something to do with her after all? In this DIY confessional cabaret show, Bunny tells, yells and sings her story, against the backdrop of a collapsing arts industry.

Nesting by Peter McCormick
A father dreams of being dead, a daughter dreams of being alive, and a seagull dreams of being human.

Caged in his own home by devotion and duty, the terminally ill Francis agrees to relinquish his body and life to a seagull and free his pregnant daughter from the burden of his care. But his desire for an eternal peace sets him on a path to eternal damnation.

An absurd and twisted comedy, ‘Nesting’ is an intergenerational exploration of death, desire, and the duty of care.

Shot Girls by Hannah Low
‘The Shot Girls are beautiful. The Shot Girls are powerful. The Shot Girls are everything.’

Set in a Glasgow nightclub in 2016, Shot Girls is a high energy, dark comedy that follows three, very different, young women, as they work out how to use their job to their advantage in this hyper sexualised world.

It’s critique on capitalism, a coming-of-age story, and ultimately, a love letter to female friendship. Shot Girls is written by Hannah Low and directed by Julia Taudevin.

Alphabet Soup by Andrea Cabrera Luna
Alphabet Soup is a darkly comedic exploration of grief, mental health, and family ties. Cata, an unemployed woman in her mid-thirties, is left behind when her mother and sister fly away, forcing her to confront her own limbo. As she simmers in loneliness, she is visited by surreal, larger-than-life figures, a ghostly mariachi, the grandmother of Mexican cinema, and the echoes of her past. Blending magic realism, humour, and tender emotional moments, Alphabet Soup navigates the chaos of self-delusion, the unexpected places grief hides, and the struggle to reconcile idealised paternal memories with the messiness of real life.
