Mock Audition for Screen
This performance has taken place in the past
During this workshop you will have the chance to have a mock audition with a Casting Director who works in screen. Performing a prepared monologue of your choice, you will receive feedback from the casting director and your peers and have the chance to ask any questions you may have about the process. Please come prepared with a short 1 – 2 minute monologue, ideally written for screen, and bring two copies with you. For some advice on choosing and working on your piece prior to the workshop please have a look at the following Spotlight articles:

Note from Spotlight: The intent of the workshop is educational and should not be considered a job interview or audition. Attending workshops is not a way to obtain employment as an actor. It is a learning/educational experience. The presence of a Casting Director is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. Contact with a Casting Director at a workshop rarely results in any further contact with that Casting Director or any company affiliated with that Casting Director.
This workshop, in partnership with Spotlight, will be run by a member of the Casting Directors Guild. The Guild is a professional organisation of Casting Directors in the film, television, theatre and commercials communities in the UK and Ireland who have joined together to further their common interests in establishing a recognised standard of professionalism in the industry, enhancing the stature of the profession, providing a free exchange of information and ideas, honouring the achievements of members and standardisation of working practices within the industry.
