In Tronversation with Julie Wilson Nimmo and Greg Hemphill
Showing on Wed 3 Sep
Join us for an exclusive and entertaining evening with Julie Wilson Nimmo and Greg Hemphill, in conversation with Johnny McKnight.
Husband and wife duo Julie Wilson Nimmo and Greg Hemphill are well-known for their comedy work on Scottish stage and screen, as well as for their wild swimming programme and soon to be published book, Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim.
Julie has a long history of working with the Tron – most recently as Miss Dee in summer comedy Radiant Vermin, but also as one of our panto regulars, when she can usually be found in some sort of furry animal costume (she’s been a lion, a centipede, a reindeer…you get the picture). Greg is best known for his work on Still Game (as co-creator and performer) as well as Chewin’ the Fat, Off the Ball and West Skerra Light.
‘The Tron is hands-down our favourite theatre in Scotland – we’ve had so many wonderful experiences here as both audience members and actors.’
Jules & Greg
This one-off event is hosted by the Tron’s own pantomime legend, Johnny McKnight. Expect an evening of daft stories and memories, as Johnny digs down to answer the unanswerable question: ‘how have they managed to stay afloat in this business for over thirty years?’
Covering everything from the BBC sketch show where they first met and their escapades in Still Game and Balamory to being reunited on screen for their wild swimming adventures, it promises to be a night full of laughs and great chat.
There will be an opportunity to submit questions for Julie and Greg in advance. Box Office will email a submission form along with your pre-show booking information.
Please note: The Tron Theatre will be carrying out photography and filming (in public areas and the theatre itself) to record and document this event. Images and footage may be stored for future use on our social media and website, and in reports and publications. Please speak to a member of our Front of House team on the night if you do not want to be photographed/filmed and they will issue you with colour-coded badge.
