She waits. He listens. They watch.

In a room, high in a tower block, Isla waits for her number to be called. Her only companion, on the other side of the wall, is an anonymous man who collects her stories. Today there is a new listener. He offers glimpses of the world beyond the tower, and what seems at first to be a small, if strange, conversation between two strangers turns out to be something much more terrifying and sublime.

Arlington by Enda Walsh is a dark fable of surveillance, connection, and the power of imagination.

A new production by the ‘refreshingly maverick’ (The List) Glasgow-based dance-theatre company, Shotput.

Cast: Jack Anderson, Alex Austin & Aisha Goodman, with the voices of Ann Louise Ross, Andy Clark, Pauline Goldsmith and Benny Young.

An abstract greyscale image of tower blocks, stacked one on top of the other on their sides. The word ARLINGTON in green capital letters has been split so ARL is stacked over ING over TON. This is overlaid on the tower block images and followed by the words BY ENDA WALSH. Power cables frame the visual on both sides.
