Learn. Develop. Inspire.

Returning for 2025-2026, Tron Ambassadors is a free, year-long work experience programme for 14 –18 year-olds interested in finding out about careers and training in the creative industries. It offers a unique opportunity to get involved with Tron projects, both in-house and in the community, and explore the wider theatre and creative arts networks.

Over the course of the year, we will go to see shows, review performances, take part in backstage tours and workshops, meet and work alongside professional creative teams and in-house technical, stage management and production teams, see what it’s like to work front of house and from behind the scenes in the tech box; all the while celebrating our successes with support from Tron Participation Team.

Tron Ambassadors will also work towards an SQA Leadership award, helping you to identify and develop the key creative and transferable skills for taking the next step in your studies and career.

Applicants should be available to attend a Recruitment Workshop on Wednesday 11th June, 5-7pm at the Tron Theatre, available to book here. On the day, you will be working in pairs, groups and on your own to showcase your teamwork and leadership skills through fun and creative activities. No previous experience is required, just a willingness to get stuck in and try things out!

We will aim to let everyone know within a week and those successful will be invited to a workshop and performance on Wednesday 25th June. The programme will then kick off formally from Wednesday 3rd September where we will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings between 5-7pm.

As with all Tron Theatre opportunities, we actively encourage participation from those that identify as belonging to characteristic groups currently under-represented in the cultural and artistic landscape of Glasgow. These would include ethnicity, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and social/economic background.

If you have any questions or you would like us to arrange any particular support in advance, then please do not hesitate to contact Creative Learning Coordinator Catherine Ward-Stoddart: catherine.ward-stoddart@tron.co.uk
