It’s a Start

with SUPERFAN (Kim Donohoe & Pete Lannon)

This performance has taken place in the past

Wed 19, Thu 20 & Fri 21 January, 6.30pm-9pm

Three playful devising workshops focussed on providing a fun and caring space for artists to explore devising with other people. A series of starting points, games, structured improvisations and tasks. Pete and Kim will share some of the ways they approach making material quickly and collaboratively, with an emphasis on enjoying the process of making performance and not putting pressure on the results. We’ll use games, movement, text-based exercises and improvisation to explore a practice of devising. Our aim is to hold a relaxed, creative space for artists to reconnect with their practice, each other, and to share some of the ways we begin to make work.

This workshop will happen over three consecutive evenings. Participants should be available for all three evenings.

Pete Lannon and Kim Donohoe are theatre makers and two of the directors of SUPERFAN, a collaboration with Ellie Dubois. They trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and are based in Glasgow.
