A workshop sharing the realities of running a small theatre company in Scotland. Drawing from experience with A Moment’s Peace, this workshop will explore the ethics of participatory practise, funding, charitable status, recruiting a board, establishing your values and aims, and getting the work made. Participants will gain an honest insight into the daily running of a company which they can apply their own work and ambitions.
Catrin Evans is the co-founder of A Moment’s Peace, a multi-artform theatre company exploring political and social concerns. Catrin is also a freelance Director and Playwright, whose focus is creating new work within a collaborative environment. Her most recent productions include co-directing the National Theatre of Scotland’s critical success ‘Dear Scotland’, and Edinburgh International Festival’s sell-out hit ‘Leaving Planet Earth’, which she co-wrote and co-directed with Lewis Hetherington, and was produced by Grid Iron.
