16th August 2018
A full day workshop aiming to provide both directors and performers with a tool kit of techniques of how to unlock and freshen up Shakespeare. The morning session will be a mixture of discussion and practical exercises exploring casting, collaboration and text using stimulus from Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth and Julius Caesar.
The afternoon will give participants a chance to work together on a piece of Shakespeare that they have been struggling with or have an idea they want to explore. If your piece is from a specific text then please email an outline of the extract and a few sentences about your idea to email@example.com by Friday 10 August.
