Are you looking to make it as a professional actor but are not sure how to get into it? Are you already there but want to make better use of available training routes? On Tuesday 22 January The Tron will be hosting a panel discussion with a panel of established Scottish actors who have taken different pathways into acting including drama school, university and learning and the job. The event will be chaired by the Tron’s Artistic Director Andy Arnold and will discuss perceived barriers to training, the pros and cons of different training routes and what the landscape in Scotland and the need for training in looks like in 2019.
Panel members include Blythe Duff (Locker Room Talk, The James Plays, Taggart) Isobel McArthur (Wendy and Peter Pan, Pride and Prejudice, Daphne Oram’s World of Sound), Andrew Rothney (Still Alice, The James Plays, Grain in the Blood) and Gavin Mitchell (Still Game, Casablanca, The Gin Joint Cut).
