Middle Child Residency

with Paul Smith & Marc Graham

A three-day residency culminating in a public performance in the Changing House at 8pm on Wednesday 16 October.

Tune your guitar, sharpen your pencils, warm up your dancing feet and get ready to burst your lungs with an electric new residency from award-winning gig theatre makers, Middle Child.

Over three days you will write, compose, direct and perform in an original piece of gig theatre that makes a noise, mixing bold new writing with original live music to capture the moment when the beat drops.

This will be your chance to devise new work that is live, loud and fun, with a company that regularly sets fire to expectations of a night out at the theatre. To take part please fill in the short application form below. We have two places for writers, two for directors and ten for performers. Musical experience is desirable but not essential so if you want to explore telling stories through music and give an audience a good night out then apply.

Deadline 21 September (we aim to let you know if your application has been successful by 24 Sept).

Middle Child are an award-winning company who create gig theatre that brings people together for a good night out with big ideas. Their recent hits include All We Ever Wanted Was Everything (Bush Theatre; Edinburgh Fringe) and Us Against Whatever (Liverpool Everyman; Hull Truck Theatre).

More about the company and gig theatre can be found here. If you have any questions please email Steph.connell@tron.co.uk
