Tron 100 Club present

with Sally Reid

20th May 2017

The Meisner technique is one of the most widely used American acting techniques exploring moment to moment emotional honesty and imagination.  I studied the Meisner technique extensively during a comprehensive course at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago in 2005 and was lucky enough to be taught by Amy Morton, who was an original student of Meisner.  I have been using this technique in my work as an actress ever since and it has become invaluable to me.

During the introductory workshop, we will focus on listening, following impulses, trusting your instincts and working closely with an acting partner.  There are many in depth sections to the Meisner technique and this is an introduction which will hopefully whet the appetite.

Sally has been working extensively as an actress in Scotland for over 15 years working in Theatre, TV and radio with many Scottish companies and directors including; Citizens, Tron, Lyceum, NTS, Dundee Rep, Vicky Featherstone, Laurie Sansom, Johnny McKnight, Kenny Miller, Jemima Levick.  Acting credits include; Scot Squad BBC, The James Plays NTS, Three Sisters Tron.
