Making Things Happen

with Isobel McArthur
with Isobel McArthur

9th July 2018

An informal workshop for actors, theatre-makers and any creatives who would like to make more opportunities for themselves, make their own work and get it in front of an audience. Isobel will share personal experience and offer practical advice for building more connections with fellow theatre artists, interrogating the quality of your ideas and taking stock all of the resources available to you so that you can spend less time dealing in hypotheticals and actually get your work put on.

The workshop will offer

  • A ‘way-in’ for actors who would like to write parts for themselves (even if they never have before)
  • A breakdown of the different pathways available to writers and theatre-makers who would like to see their work produced
  • Useful practice for keeping your hand in, staying focused and not letting opportunities pass you by
  • A Q&A for individuals to ask any questions about the specific challenges they currently face as creatives

Isobel McArthur is an actor, musician and playwright.
