A six-session series of workshops exploring long form improvisation. In this programme, participants will learn skills in creating engaging characters and drama in improvised scenes of 15 minutes to an hour. Long form improvisation techniques are the basis of TV shows like The Office and Parks and Recreation and can help you become a better actor by building character, developing patience, listening and supporting scene mates. Participants are expected to attend all six sessions.
Currently located in Scotland, Jason Perez originally came from Southern California where he started doing improv with the National Comedy Theatre and Comedy Sportz. In Los Angeles Jason performed and trained with The Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade, and IO West. Jason also toured and taught workshops around the country with his two man group The McAllister Boys. Upon moving to New York, Jason helped co-found the corporate improv training company Improv (In)Corporation. As well as creating and performing with Saint York at The PIT. Jason has been teaching improv for 7 years and performing/training for 15 years. He has worked with cast members and writers of shows such as SNL, Conan, Parks And Recreation, Master of None, The Good Place, Cracked, and WWE. He has also been trained by such legends of the industry as Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, Miles Stroth, Will Hines, Anthony Atamanuik, Brian James O’Connell, Alex Berg, and Frank Caeti.
