Playwrights? Studio, Scotland presents

Part of TalkFest at the Tron

21st April 2016

Written by Ellie Stewart
Directed by Caitlin Skinner

A rehearsed reading of a brand new play with Jimmy Watson, Karen Fishwick, Mary Gapinski, Helen Mackay and Lewis Howden.

Hammy is home and navigating Redburn Gala Day. His daughter is an unlikely Gala Queen, his Dad is in cahoots with the fracking company, and his old flame wants to trim his nasal hair.

Gala features sabotage, snowballs, fireworks, a lopsided rabbit and a slosh.

Ellie Stewart is a playwright based in Scotland. She was a member of the BBC Writersroom10 project and one of the Trav 50. Her play Hope and Joy won the Progressive Playwright Award at the Tron Theatre in 2016.

TalkFest at the Tron is a mini-festival celebrating the work Scotland's playwrights. Packed with new playwriting, rehearsed readings, discussions, workshops, script surgeries and networking opportunities.
