One scene, three directors, six actors. Director Eve Nicol will help three directors to flex their directing muscles and direct three different versions of the same scene. With two actors each, this is chance to direct some work without the pressure of a production and learn from each other and your different interpretations of text. The text used will be something that Eve has previously directed so she will be able to give participants an insight into her own practice and directorial decisions made with the piece.
Eve Nicol is a director and playwright from Glasgow. She most frequently works on new plays, sharing brand new stories celebrating music, sex and cities with audiences. Recent work includes directing the Scottish premiere of Abi Morgan’s The Mistress Contract and adapting Belle & Sebastian’s album If You’re Feeling Sinister for Avalon & BBC Arts. Eve is currently directing new work by Hannah Lavery for the National Theatre of Scotland, and Douglas Maxwell for the Traverse Theatre.
