Designing Mammy Goose

This three part workshop will allow designers the opportunity to learn about the design process behind our 2018 Christmas show Mammy Goose.

In this workshop designer Kenny Miller will take participants through the research stages of the project, final costume and set designs, model box and the practicalities of making the design happen including technical requirements, costings and potential challenges.

Please note, participants attending parts 2 & 3 must have attended part 1.

Wednesday 3 October, 1:30pm – 4:30pm

Vic Bar

  1. Participants are invited to the final dress rehearsal of Mammy Goose to see the designs brought to life and be taken through the changes from design to production.

Tuesday 27 November, 2pm (Time is approximate as this is to see the final dress rehearsal. Steph will be in touch to confirm time closer to the date.)

Main Auditorium

  1. Participants are invited to a backstage tour Mammy Goose to see the set and costumes up close and backstage requirements needed to make it all happen.

Thursday 6 December, 3pm

This series of workshops aims to provide designers with the chance to see another designer’s work up close. Through the three events participants will be taken through the process of designing and building a mainstage show taking into account all departments, their responsibilities and priorities.
