Playwrights? Studio, Scotland presents
Close Encounters

Part of TalkFest at the Tron

21st April 2016

Close Encounters

Readings of two brand new plays with professional actors: And the Future Will Take Care of Itself by Grace Knight and In The Event of Moone Disaster by Andrew Thompson

Directed by Peter Arnott

Peter Arnott and a team of actors will encounter two new plays in a live experiment. During the day, the director and actors’ immediate first response to the unseen texts as they unfold will be used to find each play's strengths and weaknesses. Both plays will be presented on the same night, bringing the audience into this close encounter with new writing.

TalkFest at the Tron is a mini-festival celebrating the work Scotland's playwrights. Packed with new playwriting, rehearsed readings, discussions, workshops, script surgeries and networking opportunities.
