A practical workshop with Casting Director, Anna Dawson, on the differences between theatre/screen auditions and how best to prepare for both auditions in the room and self-tape auditions. Through work with audition scenes, participants will get a chance to practice how to prepare for auditions with specific scenes and feedback. They will also get a chance to ask questions and find out what makes the perfect self-tape.
Anna started her career whilst studying Drama and Film at Manchester University, and since then has honed her skills with some of the profession’s very best, including Jina Jay, Suzanne Smith and Simone Pereira Hind. Anna is currently associate Casting Director to Simone Pereira Hind. Anna’s credits include the internationally successful series Outlander, BBC’s The Replacement and CBBC’s teen series Logan High. She has also worked on feature films such as Moon Dogs and soon to be released Marionette and The Toll.
