27th April 2018
A workshop about how to tackle big issues or challenging forms of theatre as a young theatre company. Co-Artistic Directors, Tyrrell Jones and Sam Redway and of Knaïve Theatre will share their experiences of creating theatre exploring science and politics. Participants will learn how to talk about challenging ideas to audiences, promoters and press, and have the confidence to approach ideas that felt out of bounds.
Knaïve Theatre exists to connect, challenge and empower the younger generation. They are based in Leeds and Manchester. Their first production ‘Bin Laden: The One Man Show’, received seven awards and made 118 public performances across 22 venues from Los Angeles to Denmark. Since, they have been twice commissioned by the West Yorkshire Playhouse and created work supported by Wellcome Trust, Bristol Old Vic and Royal Exchange Theatre.
