The aim of this 3 hour workshop will be to discover that a puppet can move, think and react apparently as we do. By concentrating on the movement and the focus we can develop its character much like an actor would to prepare for a part on stage. The workshop is suitable for all theatre and art practitioners and those wanting to explore how the skill of contemporary puppetry could fit into their own performance field.
Gavin Glover is well known for his work with FaultyOptic which toured its dark and surreal shows around the world. By combining puppets, actors and live feed video he creates ingenious and highly visual work collaborating with other artists and directors. Recently he has worked with The National Theatre of Scotland on A Christmas Carol and The Tin Forest, The Citizens Theatre's Feverdream, Abbey Theatre’s Ulysses. He teaches extensively in the UK and abroad.
