Almost four years since its last production Harold and Maude at the Tron, Theatre Jezebel returns with the Scottish premiere of A Steady Rain, from House of Cards and Mad Men writer and producer Keith Huff.

Two Chicago cops Joey and Denny look out for each other – Joey helps with Denny’s wife and kids and Denny keeps Joey away from the bottle. When they are faced with a domestic disturbance call that takes a turn for the worse their lifelong, almost family-like, bond is put to the test. Trust, honesty and loyalty struggle to endure the brutal reality of the lives of these two best friends.

‘Huff’s taut, tough-minded script, takes potentially clichéd material - the moral challenges faced by cops on the urban mean streets - and makes it fresh and compelling.’ Richard Zoglin, TIME magazine (2009) on A Steady Rain

With Andy Clark and Robert Jack
