Since 2003 we have enabled young people to experience a range of the career opportunities available within a fully-operational theatre via the one-year Tron Ambassadors scheme. Through this scheme we hope to foster deeper connections with the Tron Theatre, and the work we do both in-house and within the community, as well as an understanding of the wider theatre and creative arts industries.
Take part in regular workshops with Tron staff, external visitors and leading professionals to identify and develop transferable skills. Previous Tron Ambassadors have worked with the Tron’s production, marketing and front of house departments, theatre critics, set and costume designers and professional actors and directors.
***Gain an Arts Award qualification!***
This year, Tron Ambassadors will also be eligible to gain an Arts Award qualification from their full participation in the programme.

Hi, I’m Molly, I am 16 years old and I’m looking forward to being a Tron Ambassador this year because it gives me an opportunity to explore many new aspects of theatre production. I’m particularly excited to learn more about theatre reviewing and sound production, as well as getting the chance to see a range of plays at the Tron! For the past 10 years I’ve attended youth theatre classes at Cumbernauld Theatre and I performed at the National Festival of Youth Theatre in 2017. My interests include playing musical instruments such as saxophone and guitar, writing and acting.
Hi, I'm Caitlin. My most favourite things are history, art, and coffee. I dream of someday writing for or about theatre, which has always played a very important part in my life. I'm incredibly honoured to have been chosen as a Tron Ambassador and look forward to my next year in this position.

Hi, I'm Lucy! I was introduced to theatre with backstage work experience at the Theatre Royal, and have been interested in a career in costume or set design ever since. I love history, coffee and doodling, and I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new sides of the theatre industry.
Hi, I'm Eve, a 14 year old pupil at Sgoil Ghaidhlig Ghlaschu. I am thrilled to be a Tron Ambassador this year as I love theatre and the opportunity to learn about all aspects of contemporary theatre in Glasgow is really exciting. I have been attending drama classes at the Citizens theatre for 10 years and have also been lucky enough to be involved in a main stage play at the Citz. It's a delight to be welcomed into the Tron family, I can't wait for the year ahead!
I've loved performing since I was 2 years old. Thanks to the Tron Ambassadors project I am now learning about all aspects of theatre. I'm the sort of person that grabs the bull by its horns, taking every opportunity and making the most out of it!
