Children and Young People

Here at the Tron, Children and young people can explore, discover, learn, experiment and collaborate with professional artists, learning through a range of theatre arts in a safe workshop environment.  More importantly, there’s the chance to meet new people and- above all- have a lot of fun!

Classes are divided into 6 age ranges: pre 5s, 4-6 yrs, 7-10 yrs, 11-13 yrs, 14-17 yrs and 18-25 yrs.

Tiny and Tall Tales

Stories, props, music, movement and a whole lot of fun.......

Tiny and Tall Tales sessions help to develop essential and desirable life skills and encourage little imaginations to flourish whilst helping prepare your child for the formal learning experiences nursery and school will provide. Tron Young Company is an excellent way to bridge the gap between youth theatre and professional theatre industry. Tron Young Company will participate in weekly workshops and regular masterclasses with some of the UK's top theatre professionals.  The company will devise and explore trying out material through a scratch performance before creating and performing a full scale production in autumn 2019. As part of the process individuals will set career goals and build their creative CV while networking with industry professionals and building an awareness of the current Scottish Theatre community.

In addition to theatre-making and performance skills there is a supporting theatre critics program.  Company members will see a range of work in both the main theatre and studio space and through post show discussions and reviewing workshops participants will develop a language to talk about and evaluate work they have seen.

Tron Young Company is fully subscribed for the coming year. To register your interest in future Tron Young Company projects please contact Tron Box Office on 0141 552 4267.
