Main House

Theatre

The Tron Theatre main house hosts 230 seats as standard.

The raked auditorium is split on two levels with wheelchair access at both levels and overlooks a 9.45m wide by 7.5m deep black stage floor, with 7.9m high grid.

Above the audience rests an 8m diameter circular tensioned wire grid, providing useful and easy access to lighting positions.

This grid fits snugly beneath the original church dome dating from circa 1795.

Typically, the stage is set up as a black box with optional black legs and 3m masking flats, with a double purchase counterweight flying system and integrated hemp system.

The stage area is flexible for a broad range of event types:-

Drama, dance, comedy, live music and conferences, all sit comfortably on our stage.

This year, 2011 The Tron will be celebrating its 30th year as a producing theatre and as a proud host to a great many local and international theatre companies and organisations, all of whom have experienced the warmth of The Tron and its audience.
