Mayfesto, an emerging boutique event on the Scottish festival landscape, focuses this year on identity in all its forms – from psychological thrillers amongst sisters and tormented inmates in Long Kesh, to oral histories from Glasgow Asians, one woman’s witty exploration of violence, to a Serbian man’s encounter with his audience through a lie detector test.
We enter the mind of Steve Jobs (a sell out show in Edinburgh 2012) and examine the price of everything with Daniel Bye. We have promenade and site specific pieces, rehearsed readings, Stage To Page, works-in-progress, and a debate with a panel of experts on the future of Scottish culture.
