THE WALTZ OF THE COLD WIND
prsented by LESS IS MORE
Written and directed by Paddy Cunneen
Belle lives alone in a flat full of recording equipment. She spends her days listening to recordings of Antarctic winds and the sound of her own voice. Sound is something she loves more than anything else in the world. But it is a poor substitute for the company of another human being.
One day, having discovered she can use her microphone to eavesdrop on her neighbours through the walls, she records the voices in a flat above and big trouble follows…
Originally produced as part of the Oran Mor's A Play, A Pie and a Pint season
A gorgeous short romance- a performance to remember
The Scotsman ****
An utterly enchanting fable – wildly funny, philosophical and poignant. Underneath the surreal comedy is a dissection of modern urban life that strays into dark territory but allows its heroine a wonderfully improbable happy ending. The Herald ****
