One of jazz's great innovators, trombonist Steve Turre grew up in San Francisco and added salsa to his mariachi, jazz and blues experiences by joining timbales master Tito Puente. Familiar to Scottish audiences through his appearances with Dizzy Gillespie and McCoy Tyner, Turre brings an exciting quartet that mixes tradition with a spirit of adventure including his own conch shell mastery.
