FORGOTTEN
presented by FISHAMBLE: THE NEW PLAY COMPANY
Forgotten is a captivating solo piece for theatre written and performed by Pat Kinevane. The play portrays four characters between the ages of 80-100 years old who reside in care facilities and retirement homes. 1943 was a curious year for this quartet - their lives have never been the same since....
Presented as a unique collage of Kabuki dance and Irish storytelling, Forgotten is at times a challengingly dark, and at other times, startlingly hilarious portrayal of the challenges facing older people in Ireland today.
'...an incredibly moving piece of theatre...immediate and compelling...beautiful and strange...unequivocally beautiful'. ***** THE SCOTSMAN
Fishamble is funded by the Arts Council and Dublin City Council. International touring is supported by Culture Ireland.
